A typically crowded ride on an Italian train, 1990.
While editing these old photos from Europe, I've often been disappointed at how many didn't turn out well. Even compared to later photos with the same camera, they tend to be lower quality.
One look at this photo reminds me of the main reason for that: at the time I was a grad student grabbing holidays when I could, always short on money and usually tired and distracted. The wonder is that I found enough good photos from that period to fill 3 small galleries.
